Peggy S. Liversidge founded Cape Porpoise Kitchen in July 2001.



Kitchen Chicks Catering officially launched in July of 2001 in Cape Porpoise, United States with an upscale brunch for guests. Four more parties were booked as a result of that event and Peggy was on her way to fulfilling a dream.



Today, Peggy caters a wide variety of functions ranging from destination weddings and gala fundraisers to intimate dinners and corporate meetings in Cape Porpoise. Her recipe for success is simple – provide creative menus using the best ingredients, attend to every detail of the party, and provide outstanding service so that clients and their guests can relax and enjoy a memorable event.



To prepare herself for her career change, Peggy trained with a Culinary Institute of America (CIA) Chef in a classic culinary curriculum ranging from food safety to making the perfect buerre blanc. Her former corporate background provided her with a strong belief in the importance of strategy and teamwork – key items in the success of any event.



By 2007 Peggy and Kitchen Chicks Catering had outgrown the Cape Porpoise Kitchen facilities and opened a second kitchen in August on Water Street in Kennebunk. The 7,000 square foot facility, and the expanded Kitchen Chicks team is able to meet the varied needs of our clients, from venue selection and event planning, to design and décor that create a unique party atmosphere and of course, delicious and creative food preparations.
