Welcome to Caprice Heights Bed and Breakfast, Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, Canada. The Caprice Heights Bed and Breakfast is centrally located on Salt Spring Island, and is halfway between Ganges and Fulford Harbor, less than 10 minutes from each village. We enjoy warm Gulf Island weather in the pacific northwest with hot, dry summers, and less rain than Vancouver
The island offers much for the visitor including many outdoor activities such as walks along the mountain trails, picnics on the little-known beaches, kayaking, or cycling. Chris and Sara will point you in the direction of their many favorite spots. You can even take a lovely forest hike from our front door up Mt. Maxwell to an outstanding viewpoint. The waterfront village of Ganges offers art galleries, interesting shops, fine restaurants, and the Saturday Market in the Park.
Caprice Heights Bed & Breakfast is at the 750? level, which affords panoramic view over the surrounding Gulf Islands to Vancouver, and east to Mt. Baker. There are 5 sunny acres of treed and rocky land to explore. Look for regular visits from the local deer.
There is a large deck to enjoy the view or spend some time with a good book. Sunbathe on the moss-covered rocky outcrop, or the large sunny brick patio. For those up early enough, the sunrises over the mountain peaks on the far horizon are truly spectacular.
The comfortable bed/sitting room with queen and single beds has a private bathroom and entrance foyer. For total privacy, ask for ?The Beams?, the whole upper floor of our timber frame coach house, which has both a country cottage bedroom (queen size bed) and large, but cozy, living room, with a queen sofa bed, and a private downstairs bathroom.
Each unit has a TV and DVD, high-speed wireless internet and we have a small movie library available. Tea and coffee making supplies are offered in each room, so you can help yourselves any time of day.
We look forward to welcome to the Caprice Bed and Breakfast, Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, Canada.
