Let your imagination transform the present to a gentler time past; relax, refresh, and renew both body and soul at the Captains, a magnificent manse built in the late 1870's by John Wickham, the owner of the local lumberyard and master shipbuilder of the day. Judy and Mike Tann are your genial hosts and are pleased to give you a "cook's tour" of their comfortable home, which has been featured twice in Midwest Living Magazine as well as other national publications. The property has also won numerous beautification and garden awards over the past years.

Captain Montagues floor plan is such that there is one guest room on the first floor; the others are divided between the front stairs and back stairs so none of our guests get that "closed in" feeling. All of our accommodations are quite private and very quiet and all come with their own private baths and central air conditioning.
