Welcome to Carmelite House Hotel, Banff Scotland, Scotland. Carmelite House is a small, family-run Hotel at the heart of the Royal Burgh of Banff Scotland, a town little spoiled by the passage of time and a gem in the architectural heritage of North East Scotland.
Ideally situated on the Banffshire Coast on the Moray Firth, Banff is separated from the neighbouring town of Macduff by the mouth of the River Deveron.
Built in 1753 for Admiral William Gordon (circa 1709 - 1768), the house took its name from the former monestary which once stood nearby.
This B Listed building has been carefully and sympathetically modernised and is now a comfortable, small Hotel managed by the owners in traditional style.
The Carmelite House Hotel has nine comfortable bedrooms (six ensuite) accommodating up to eighteen guests in single, twin, double or family rooms. All rooms are well-appointed with colour TV, radio/alarm clock, tea/coffee making facilities and individually controlled heating.
