Situated in the oldest part of Ambleside,  Chapel House dates back to the 18th century with stunning viewse s overlooking the village and surrounding fells.

Chapel House is conveniently placed on the Kirkstone Road, Ambleside, away from the hustle and bustle but within a couple of minutes walk from the local shops, pubs and restaurants.

Whether it is a relaxing break or an activity weekend a warm and friendly welcome awaits you at Chapel House.

All our rooms have been newly decorated and are stylishly simple, each room includes: colour tv, radio, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities.   We have a selection of double, twin and single rooms.

The front bedrooms at Chapel House have scenic views overlooking Heron Pike, part of the Fairfield Horseshoe, whilst the rear bedrooms look out onto the old manor at Howe Head built using stone from near by Fort of Galava.

Chapel House is centrally located for visitors wishing to explore the lake district in the United Kingdom, and is ideal for walking, cycling and golf.

Golf packages are available by arrangement and can include a golf lesson, round of golf at a local course and bed & breakfast.

For the non-playing partner there are shops, restaurants excursions, Beatrix Potter, Wordsworth or walking - easy or more challenging routes all starting from the doorstep. Fot the more ambitious there are bike rides, boating or waterskiing..... so much to do the list is endless.
