The Chicago Grill Steakhouse is to be found at the Marriott Resort & Spa and is an unobtrusive, intimate room that has an air of quiet elegance with a touch of simple charm. Following the overall simplicity of the room itself, the menu at the Chicago Grill Steakhouse, Hua Hin, offers only nine entrees and five steaks along with a short list of soups and salads, appetisers and side dishes. A touch of Asian influence, as in tiger prawns with massamun curry and a few other items, is present here but in the main this is a traditional US-style Steakhouse menu. Big steaks, potatoes, caesar salad, side orders of broccoli with Monterey jack cheese, onion, rings, even creamed spinach – all evoke an earlier time when steak was considered the best thing one could eat. The steaks here are certainly the best in the province. The 12-ounce rib-eye, for example, is perfectly cooked to a medium rare (or to your request) and flavoursome with a light hint of herb seasoning. Pan-fried foie gras is another excellent example of the superb quality being offered here.
