The Chocolate Church Art Gallery n Bath, Maine operates year-round with both juried and invitational exhibits of dozens of Maine's visual artists. All media are represented in the course of a season, including painting, sculpture, Drawing, Photography and Textiles.

On one special day, over 2 dozen invited artists will fan out across the city to capture scenes of historic Bath on the coast of Maine. Wander through this charming coastal town and watch the artists paint or draw scenes of beautiful coastal Bath! Afternoon reception and silent auction followed by live auction.

Making beautiful things happen is the mission of The Chocolate Church Arts Center in Bath. That is also a mission that can be applied to our own individual lives as well. So, it's natural that a mutually exciting relationship evolves between the Art s Center programs and those who volunteer to make them happen.

This year, new Arts Center programs and direction are opening up a wide variety of volunteer opportunities. There are tasks for every kind of interest and skill, and in the sharing of those tasks, warm friendships are created. A kind of contagion of imagination and creativity happens, which benefits both volunteers and the Center. For some, ushering at performances is a way of being part of the musical excitement; for others it's volunteering at the gallery. Then there is clerical work, maintenance, theater set or props, costumes, hosting of special events, and much more.

A strong and active membership is absolutely vital for us. In a society that is technology-based and becoming more so, the arts are of the utmost importance. Innovation is the lifeblood of progress, of technology, and innovation is the result of creative thinking. At The Center for the Arts at Chocolate Church, we cultivate creativity and culture; we want to bring the world of art to our community.
