Since 2004 Chocolate Velvet Bakery has specialised in creating fabulous wedding and birthday Cakes for our customers in the Nelson and Stoke area.

We are well known for our Chocolate creations, however our full range is diverse and there is something to suit everyone´s tastes.

All of our Cakes are made from scratch; we never use premix, the end result is melt in your mouth fresh flavours and excellent lasting qualities.

Chocolate Velvet Bakery is owned and operated by Phil and Leanne Lash, and with the help of our experienced cake baker and decorator Anita, we gain much pleasure in creating wedding Cakes, birthday Cakes, and desserts for our customers.

Chocolate Velvet Bakery was born in 2004 in Stoke from the desire of Phil to create a business that solely produced top quality Cakes and desserts for the Nelson and Stoke area. In December 2007 we finally moved to 435 Nayland Road in Stoke, having built a large Bakery with a retail shop in the front.

At Chocolate Velvet Bakery, we pride ourselves on the quality of our Cakes made fresh on our premises in Stoke, Tasman Bay in New Zealand.

Chocolate Velvet chefs never use pre mix ingredients (packet mixes). Everything is made from "scratch," giving our Cakes wonderful freshness and superior flavour.

Chocolate Velvet's range is diverse and mouthwatering. For Chocolate lovers how about our Rich Muddy Mud Cake, divine! (This is our top seller, and for good reason!).
