In 1984 the cafe was opened & operated by the Marshall family and was well known as Chez Bleu for many years. In October 2001 they changed their concept to Italian cuisine due to their daughter Chef Jo Marshall-Orr returning from extensive training with the "Parente" & "Ierna" families, Owners of the acclaimed & multi-awarding winning Italian Restaurant "MARIO'S".
Another family member to come aboard was fellow restaurateur (with over 25 years experience) Judi Marshall a famed Pastry Chef well known in the Bay of Plenty due to her passion and drive in producing
magnificent Cakes & goodies.
Ciccio is fully Licensed with a wide range of beverages available including both New Zealand & Italian wines by the glass or bottle. In the winter months you can cosy up on the couch next to the fire....come summertime you choose; basking in the glorious sun alfresco or; escape to air conditioned comfort.
