Coastguard Cottage is one of a row of Cottages in Polperro, England, United Kingdom, originally built as a lookout station for the coastguard and customs men. The Cottages are situated in an elevated position a few hundred yards above the ancient village of Polperro, England.
Coastguard Cottage has two bedrooms upstairs (a generous double at the front with stunning views and smaller twin bedroom at the rear). Downstairs is a cosy and well proportioned lounge (also with stunning views). At the rear is a well appointed kitchen/diner with table and chairs for family meals. One of the main attractions of the Cottage is its south facing patio area which is a real sun trap on fair days. It is a great place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine with friends and the hours seem to just disappear. When your wine glass is empty, your partner can simply lean through the lounge window and fill it up for you. The walk up the hill from the village to the Cottage is excellent exercise for anyone wanting to burn off some calories and there are so many great places to eat and drink within walking distance so a brisk walk up the hill may be just what you need.
