Welcome to Colesent Cottages, North Cornwall, England, United Kingodm. Colesent Cottages consists of three cottages sleeping between two and seven people all of which enjoy wonderful valley views. The cottages are formed from original farm buildings and are decorated and furnished to a high standard.
Our Cottages stand in their own grounds surrounded by beautiful Cornish countryside. A haven of peace and tranquillity situated between the Camel Estuary (Padstow, Wadebridge, Rock, Polzeath) and Bodmin Moor, North Cornwall.
All the cottages are 4 Star rated by Quality in Tourism on behalf of Visit Cornwall (latest inspection 19/06/2008). They feature central heating and either an open fire or a wood burner. Every Kitchen has a fan oven, microwave oven, washing machine and dishwasher. Hollyhill and Swallow's Nest have Freeview and DVDs players connected to the TVs whereas the Bull's House features full home cinema DVD, 27" LCD TV and Freeview. There are additional TVs in Swallows Nest and the Bull's House.
The inland start of the well known "Camel Trail" is literally at the end of our drive. The walking and cycling trail follows the route of a disused railway line alongside the beautiful Camel River and leads to Padstow calling in at Bodmin and Wadebridge. At intervals along the route enterprising local residents have opened their gardens for refreshments. Whether its an evening stroll or a long distance expedition the trail is always magical.
There are 7 coves around the Camel Estuary, one for each day of your stay. The pounding surf of Polzeath, the more sheltered family beach at Daymer Bay or the sophisticated Rock are all near at hand.
Bed Linen, Bath and Hand towels, first basket of logs for the open fire/wood burner (Nov to March), and of course kitchen crockery and utensils.
On top of that, Colesent Cottages also include other touches to enable you to travel without quite so much clutter. So we also provide like tea-towels, a pan scrubber, sink brush, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, kitchen foil, cling film, sandwich bags, bin liners, barbecue charcoal, firelighters, initial supplies of tea and coffee, salt and pepper, floor cloths and soap.
Laid out, ready for your arrival, will be a cream tea with scones, jam and clotted cream including supplies of tea and milk. With fresh flowers on the table we hope this will go some way to reviving you after a long journey.
