Re-cut the stems of your flowers before setting in a vase.
Loose bouquets that are given should be set into a vase or container as soon upon arrival as possible.
Roses should be re-cut under water if transferring to a vase or container. This prevents air from getting trapped in the rose stem and transferring up into the flower bud causing the rose stem to droop over.If you find a rose bloom that's beginning to droop, remove it and lay it in a shallow tray filled with fresh water on it's side in a cool place for a few hours. It will re-absorb the water and firm up nice and straight. Re-insert into you're arrangement and it's as good as new.
