Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park

Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park in Woolacombe, Devon, United Kingdom | Theme Park

Set in twenty five acres of stunning North Devon countryside, this renowned Wildlife and Dinosaur Park offers a great family day out when visiting the South West of England.
Combe Martin Wildlife & Dinosaur Park has seen some changes since it first opened in 1986. The estate had been uninhabited, overgrown and derelict for over 10 years when Robert Butcher, founder of Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park , fell in love with the park's natural beauty and saw its potential. Having acquired Higher Leigh Manor in 1985, he set about the enormous task of rejuvenating the redundant buildings and overgrown estate, discovering hidden treasures like the rare English Elm, the Indian Bean Tree and, of course, the statue of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart.
Some years later the idea came to him to create a Dinosaur Park to attract more visitors to see the now rapidly expanding wildlife. The following year the first Jurassic Park film was released, which fuelled even more public interest. This has rapidly increased visitors to the park, therefore providing an income for its main aim, the preservation of wildlife and the conservation of some of the most endangered animals on the planet. It is thanks to you that we are able to do this.
