Studio equipment includes a North Star slab roller and extruder, four Brent Model C electric wheels, shared sinks, worktables and stools. The glazing area has multiple high fire glazes for communal use, and a digital scale is available for mixing personal glazes. Studio glazes are not to be used on work you do not fire at Cone 10. Bisque and low-temperature firings are done in an electronically-controlled Skutt electric kiln. An outdoor 35-cubic-foot car kiln is used for reduction firing to stoneware temperatures (cone 10!). Firings, glaze mixing, studio cleaning and maintainance are performed by studio owners and personel contracted for the job. Before using the chemical equipment you must notify the owners. You must provide all your own chemicals and not use those belonging to the studio.
