Conover's Bay Head Inn is recognized as one of the first and finest Bed and Breakfast inns in New Jersey, United States.   Previous owners in the early 1900's include William and Mary Bristol of Princeton and the L. Hastings Alexander family. By 1912 architect M.B. Medary of Philadelphia redesigned the Alexander summer cottage into the full service Winchester Inn. The Conover's Bay Head Inn has been recognized for fine accommodations since its purchase by the Conovers in 1970.

As you step inside the Inn a delicate scent embraces you. Pleasing colors create a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The parlor is centered with a cut-stone fireplace. Antiques, family photographs, original art and books fill the room with warmth and comfort.

Twelve air-conditioned antique-filled bedrooms with bath have been uniquely designed with a sense of romanticism. You'll be lulled to sleep in our firm-mattressed antique beds prepared with line dried and hand-ironed designer sheets, matching comforters and bed ruffles. All with VCR and outgoing phone service.

The aroma of Inn-baked biscuits, muffins or coffeecake will awaken you each morning. Begin your day with our luscious breakfast in the sunny glass-enclosed dining room, by the fireplace or outdoors on the veranda.
