The Cormorant Hotel is an independent luxury Hotel, which nestles on a hillside in the Cornish village of Golant, Fowey,  one of Cornwall's hidden treasures in the United Kingdom, high above the glorious River Fowey.

The Cormorant Hotel ideally located for visits to Fowey, The Eden Project , The lost Gardens of Heligan, Lanhydrock House, the Charlestown Shipwreck & Heritage Centre, and much more.

Bodmin Moor and the Coastal Footpath of Cornwall are within very easy reach, and we are perfectly placed to access all the events that are staged during the Daphne Du Maurier Festival, each May.

All guest bedrooms at The Cormorant Hotel have a fine river view.  They are en-suite,   and have lovely beds,   with goose feather & down duvets, and cotton bed linen.   All are equipped with flat screen digital television,  & free wireless internet access.   All rooms are suitable for two guests  -we regret we are unable to accept guests under 12 years.

Most rooms have balconies but please note that our non-smoking policy extends onto the balconies.

The Cormorant  Restaurant and dining terrace is popular with discerning diners as well as our Hotel guests.

Superb local produce, a team of accomplished chefs to turn it into sumptuous menus and an award winning wine list, add the views, from the restaurant and the dining terrace, and you have a dining experience to savour.  Only our lovely attentive staff could improve on it, and they do.

The Cormorant Hotel's  cosy bar comes alive in the evening,  when you can enjoy an aperitif whilst perusing the dinner menu,  or later spoil yourself with a nice drink after dinner.

Our comfortable lounge,  with its panoramic window overlooking the river,  is the perfect place to while away an hour or two,   watching the ever-changing  river scene, and the waders and sea birds that abound at low tide.   The Garden Terraces are places to relax,   with a drink,  a book,  or just the view.
