Welcome to The Cottage Bed and Breakfast in Windermere, England, United Kngdom. Built in 1847 one of the oldest houses in Windermere, The Cottage Guest House is a careful blend of the modern with the traditional. We have retained many of the original features built into the guest house, whilst still providing our guests with modern day comforts.

The Cottage has been awarded an Egg Cup by the AA denoting outstanding quality breakfasts. Only a selected few in the Lake District have received this award.
There are 7 bedrooms having all been recently refurbished. Two of the doubles being on the ground floor and accessed via their own front door. Each room is fully equipped with remote colour televisions, complimentary tea/coffee trays, hairdryers, radio alarms and guest controlled heating to allow you to determine the temperature.
All our rooms are individually decorated to a high standard and are, of course, sparkling clean.
The world famous Lake Windermere and the shores of Bowness bay are only a leisurely twenty minute stroll. Our off street car park offers ample parking for all our guests.
