Craigvar Guest House is a distinctive Grade B listed Georgian house and offers luxury accommodation and wonderful food on the prominent site overlooking the Square in the unique and charming Victorian Spa village of Strathpeffer, Scotland in the United Kingdom.
It was built in 1839 and has undergone extensive restoration and renovation. Our aim is to give all of our guests a comfortable, enjoyable and memorable stay in Strathpeffer in Scotland.
Craigvar Guest House bedrooms are exceptionally well appointed and there are many personal touches to make you feel at home: a welcoming decanter of sherry, fresh fruit, bathrobes and a refreshment tray. There is an extensive selection of viewing and reading materials for your enjoyment and you may borrow a TomTom satnav for your daily excursions. There is wireless internet access and access to a laptop if required. We also have a large amount of genealogical and research material relating to Strathpeffer and the parish of Fodderty. The Blue Room has a double-aspect view overlooking the Square and the entrance to the Pavilion Gardens. It is a wonderful romantic room with a King-size divan, en-suite bathroom with Victorian bath, separate shower, washbasin, toilet and bidet. The Peach Room has a double-aspect view, overlooking the Square and the adjoining property. It is a beautiful, relaxing first floor room with twin beds and an en-suite shower and toilet, as well as a dressing room.
The Beige Room is a delightful ground-floor bedroom, with an en-suite shower and toilet, looking on to the rear garden. We call this our Baby Room and is best suited for single occupancy.
All bedrooms are well equipped with: private en-suite facilities, hairdryer, toiletries, colour television and iPod speakers, welcome tray, bathrobes and tea and coffee making facilities.
Meals at Craigvar Guest Houseand Dining out in Strathpeffer, Scotland
Breakfast is served each morning at 8.30 in the dining room, though of course an earlier or later breakfast can be arranged. You may select from an extensive menu and, with advance notice, special diets can be catered for.
Strathpeffer has several good restaurants in which to eat and there are others in
nearby Dingwall and in Inverness. You must not miss a visit to Maya where the hot chocolate, served by Yves Pattyn is 'to die for' and where there is a mouth-watering selection of Belgian chocolates, hand-made by MaƮtre Chocolatier Fabienne de Mulder.
