Welcome to Self Catering Cushchine Cottage, Kaikoura, New Zealand. Cushchine Cottage is located five minutes from the township of Kaikoura, the sea and the mountains.

The Whale Watch, Dolphin Encounter, and i-Site offices are less than 5 minutes drive, but you benefit from being in open countryside, on the very edge of town - perfect for a relaxing holiday!

Everything on the farm is grown organically. The grounds are spacious and we have many different animals in our Farm Park for the children to play with and hand and bottle-feed. This beautiful cottage has been totally transformed on the inside to make every aspect of your farm holiday memorable.

We've carefully retained many of the original features of the cottage, so it's got an authentic, rustic, traditional feel, but with many modern features, eg: we recently installed a new shower room and there's a new log burner in the lounge.

The kitchen is a typical farm kitchen, including a range of Self Catering equipment: microwave, hot plate, electric fry pan, griller, toaster. We also include free use of our outside gas BBQ.

The bathroom has a nice big new shower and is bright and fresh looking. There is a separate toilet.

Heating is provided via the new wood burner fire in the lounge. We provide free wood from our woodpile nearby. The cottage is very cosy and warm in winter and wonderfully airy in summer We supply all the linen and bedding.

The Self Catering Cushchine Cottage has an enormous outdoor area, with plenty of space to sit in the sun, and/or watch the sun set, plus the wonderful the views of Mount Fyffe. The outdoor living is wonderful for your children, with plenty of space for them to play in - The orchard is well established with many different fruit trees. It's a great place to sit and read a book.
