Cycling along the mid range of the Island at approximately 550meters altitude is only one of those cycle routes that you ever dream about doing. Stretching for over 100km crossing the valleys and ranges through the villages and towns sampling some of the local cuisine on you stops makes the ride worth while.
Venturing up into the mountains on the way passing through the pine forests, through the national park and finally ending your journey at the base of mount Teide 2350 meters above sea level is a challenge to even the most experienced professional cyclists. Professional cycling teams like The Discovery channel, T-mobile, Quick step and Gerolsteiner all come here in the winter for pre season training.
