Dallas Black Dance Theatre celebrates its 26th season as the oldest, continuously operating professional Dance company in Dallas, Texas, in the United States. The ensemble of Dallas Black Dance Theatre, a contemporary modern Dance company, consists of 12 professional Dancers performing a mixed repertory of modern, jazz, ethnic and spiritual works by nationally and internationally known choreographers which include Alvin Ailey, Talley Beatty, Donald Byrd, Alonzo King, Milton Myers, Elisa Monte, Donald McKayle, Kevin Jeff, George Faison, Gene Hill Sagen, David Parsons, and Darryl B. Sneed. Dallas Black Dance Theatre's talented Dancers have studied, trained and performed with some of the pre-eminent performers and teachers in the American Dance world.
With an ever-expanding national and global audience, Dallas Black Dance Theatre in Dallas, Texas, has moved far beyond its original goal and employs a diverse, multi-ethnic troupe of Dancers performing for audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
