With sweeping views of Oregon?s coast range, David Hill Winery is one of the most picturesque wine venues in Forest Grove, in the United States. Our tasting room at David Hill Winery is located in an historic farmhouse, originally built in 1883. The farm is on 140 acres of which 40 acres are planted with Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer, with some of the oldest vines in the state. Please join us in the tasting room and sample our fine estate wines and award winning Port. The Tasting Room is open year round daily 12:00 ? 5:00.
The Stoyanov's have owned the David Hill property since November 1992. We chose the name, David Hill, because we are on David Hill (hill), and on David Hill Road. David Hill was a real person. Not only was the city of Hillsboro named for him, he was also chairman of a three-person committee who first oversaw the territorial government of Oregon, in effect, the first governor of Oregon before it became a state. In addition, Henry David, another pioneer, is remembered by the name of the hill and the road where our Winery is located.
David Hill Winery in Forest Grove, Oregon, went through several hands until the Stoyanovs bought it in 1992. During 1993 and 1994 the house and Winery buildings were extensively restored, while keeping the original exterior shape of the house. (The house is on the Washington County Historical Register.) The house, surrounding yard and gardens is the site for many events, including weddings, receptions of all kinds, corporate meetings, etc.
