Welcome to Davie Police, Davie, United States. As an integral part of our community, the Davie Police Department prides itself in its involvement. We are host to many resident-based projects and are always willing to help out with local events. From Community Crime Watch to Project Home S.A.F.E, we're dedicated to keeping in touch. Please contact us if you would like more information about our programs or wish to volunteer.
Beat the Heat: The Beat the Heat program is a nationally sponsored effort by law enforcement across the U.S.A. which attempts to stop dangerous street racing by showing the car enthusiast other safer alternatives. The Davie Police Department’s Beat the Heat car is funded and operated entirely by contributions and volunteers. Along with traditional enforcement efforts this program shows the driver that they can race their car in a safe and controlled environment while having a fun and hassle free experience.
CrimeWatch: Neighborhood watch, also known as Citizen Crime Watch, Block Watch or Home Alert is a voluntary program organized by concerned citizens to reduce crime in their area. By working in tandem with local Police, citizens can learn when and how to report a suspicious incident along with learning home security ideas and precautions to take to keep themselves and their families safe.
Citizens Police Academy: The Citizens Police Academy is a 9 week 10 class course which allows our residents to learn more about the inner workings of the Police Department. Through a series of classes taught by different P.D. staff the citizen learns the functions of different divisions within the department and how they relate to the public.
RAD Kids: R A D kids is a self defense class for children designed to teach them how to stay safe from someone wishing to harm them. This nationally known class teaches children as young as 5 years old different methods on how to recognize and get away from a stranger attempting to abduct or harm them.
Project Homesafe: Project Home Safe offers free gun locks to citizens to help keep our children safe from gun related accidents. By using one of these locks you may be able to keep curious children from having a serious accident that may cause injury to themselves or a friend.
Police Explorers: The Explorer program offers young men and women a chance to get involved with the Police and learn how the department functions. It allows them to acquire some basic skills and knowledge regarding Police work and is a good start to a possible law enforcement career should they decide to pursue it.
Volunteers: The volunteer program allows citizens to volunteer time to work at the Police department. This program is an excellent chance for someone with a few hours a week to spare and who would like to help out the police.
