De Viswijf in Jeffreys Bay, Eastern Cape South Africa, emerged from an old fish factory building, as a result of the foresight of owners Suzette and Ernie Blignault who saw the potential in the neglected building for a successful Restaurant. The fishermen still bring in their boats and unload their fish just below the Restaurant windows, so when De Viswijf boasts about their fish being the freshest in town you can be assured that this is no exaggeration. A recent addition to the Restaurant is the large patio area with covered roof and practical blinds which are put to good use in inclement weather. The patio tables offer beautiful sea views in close proximity to the famous Kitchen Windows surfing spot.

The First Floor (Main Diner):

The award winning De Viswijf Jeffreys Bay, Eastern Cape Family Restaurant on the first floor has an extensive menu comprising of seafood, local dishes and seversal exotic dishes. We cater for a wide variety of budgets and tastes and you will not be dissapointed. Our well trained staff will cater for all your needs. The Diners Club Platinum Award wine list will also satisfy your palat as wines and spirits from most of our wine regions and abroad are available.

The Deck:

The Deck is perfect if you are looking for peace and want to experience the beautiful outdoors whilst enjoying a delicious meal or drink. For cooler or windy days, you can still enjoy your meal in safety and comfort as you look at what nature dishes up through the large windows.

The Cellar:

The Cellar is also used as another venue to enjoy a delicious meal... It is an intimate and cosy venue, perfect to enjoy qaulity time with your friends or family. And of course you can taste our range of fine wines. After all, it is a Cellar.
