Denleys,Essence of India occupies a long-established premises, originally Topsham's dairy, and both Denley's and Essence of India are popular within Topsham and the wider Exeter area. We originally called our restaurant Saffron, but in 2007 we rebadged it as Essence of India for a unique name reflecting our style and cuisine.
Building on earlier refurbishment of Denleys to a comfortable and modern wine bar style, we also refurbished and expanded Essence of India to a capacity of 150, making us the largest curry restaurant in Devon. We are one of the few Topsham restaurants with dedicated parking.
