Denver Museum of Nature and Science in Denver, Colorado, had an interesting and unique beginning in 1868, when naturalist Edwin Carter collected and displayed specimens of fauna in a log cabin. In order to preserve and display this amazing collection of natural history, the Denver Museum of Nature and Science established the fossil Museum in 1900 and opened to the public in 1908.
