Derreen Garden in Kenmare, County Kerry, Ireland covers over 60 acres and is set on a peninsula at the head of Kilmakilloge harbour featuring a network of winding paths. Surrounded by the Caha mountains, the paths pass through a mature woodland Garden laid 150 years ago with sub tropical plants from around the world. Derreen Garden offers stunning sea and mountain views, and was established all the way back around 1870, throughout the Garden the labyrinth of paths pass through groves of bamboo, tree ferns, eucalyptus and conifers, old oaks and more, come view the existing collection of rare and exotic trees and shrubs with new plants being constantly introduced, it's perfect for a picnic and tea and biscuits are served in the Garden cottage.
