Welcome to Dielectrics Design, Chicopee, United States. Dielectrics Designs, Chicopee develops, and fabricates thermoplastic medical device components and products. We specialize in flexible film and laminate welding using RF, impulse, thermal, and ultrasonic processes. In addition, auxiliary infrastructure includes forming, molding, bonding, laminating, printing, packaging, assembly, and cut-and-sew.
There three business units: R&D, US manufacturing, and Asian manufacturing. They are structured to accommodate the various phases of the product life-cycle from conception through commoditization. This includes ample and dedicated prototyping laboratories and pilot production facilities. All of the tooling and most of the equipment are Designed in house.
We make numerous Class I and II devices in an ISO 13485 and 9001 certified facility. This includes Class 10,000 and 100,000 cleanrooms, prototype laboratories, and a pilot production area. Many of the products are subjected to stringent quality system controls such as PFMEA and DV/OQ/PQ series validations.
Dielectrics is known for its growing IP portfolio, as well as its ability to develop new features, processes, materials, and products for its customers under contract. We have enjoyed many long-term relationships with both top-50 medical device companies, as well as VC-funded start-ups. The best known products are those that pressurize, contain, channel, filter, distribute, or protect some type of fluid (gas, liquid, gels). Subspecialties include thin-film welding, latex-alternative balloons, and other air, gel, and fluid bladder technology.
