White Island is an active volcano 48 kilometres off the shores of Whakatane, a town located in the Bay of Plenty on New Zealand's beautiful North Island. Because White Island is one of the world's best scuba Diving destinations, it provides a very unique dive experience as New Zealand's only active marine volcano. As such, it attracts hundreds of divers every year.
Qualmark endorsed Dive White is a fully accredited PADI 5 star Dive Centre based in Whakatane. Dive White runs regular scheduled dive trips to the island all year round. Fast, efficient surveyed vessels are used for the trip to the island. All trips have a PADI certified Divemaster or Instructor accompanying the divers and lunch and refreshments are provided.
