The Dixie Theatre is a historic Theatre in Apalachicola, Florida, USA for the best in live professional Theatre and performance, music and dance, and their mission is to use the Theatre as a center of entertainment, culture and education. The Dixie offers a 3 month professional season running from January to March with other events sometimes scheduled throughout the year, and there are twelve tables located in the orchestra area as well as a mezzanine section at stage level and balcony seats. The Dixie Theatre is available for rental during off season and the perfect venue for private parties and functions, and they observe the Ghost Light tradition which dates back to ancient times, so when there are no rehearsals or performances taking place, a single, solitary light burns, it's supposed to provide a source of radiance for performers in the after life.
