The Druid's Den is the third oldest Irish Pub in Rome, Lazio, Italy, (it's sister Pub The Fiddler's Elbow which is just around the corner, is the oldest, having opened in 1977.).
Established in 1982 The Druid's Den has for 22 years provided both residents and travellers to Rome, Lazio, with warm hospitality and fine fayre.
A traditional Irish Pub, The Druid's Den offers everything you would expect plus more from a modern day tavern, 8 different types of cask beer, live Irish music (on Mondays), live sports, international satelite news coverage, arts and drama societies, private party/function facilities.
All these services and more combine to ensure that The Druid's Den means something more than just an "Irish Pub" to both its' regulars and foreign visitors to Rome, Lazio.
The cavelike interior of The Druid's Den makes for a cozy atmosphere. The staff are sound and the beer is as good as anywhere else in Rome, Lazio. It can be difficult to locate being tucked down a side street near the magnificent Santa Maria Maggiore church but its well worth seeking out. The smoking ban in Italy gives this Pub an added touch of Irish authenticity as you are likely to encounter a group of smokers congregating outside the front door, just like they do in Dublin but with better weather here.
