The Dunbar Tea Shop has become a unique institution and an integral part of a trip to Sandwich, United States. We have developed a great reputation over the years for our homemade goods, our selection of quality Teas and our innovative menu. We also have a fine selection of British ales and European wines, ports and sherries. The cozy and intimate atmosphere has been known for providing the perfect setting to catch up with an old friend or to meet a new one. It has the reputation of a place where memories are made.
...to the main house (circa 1740) and the Tea room sits in an old wood paneled billiard and gentlemen’s smoking room. Now it is home to the clinking of Tea cups rather than billiard balls and the aromas of baking pies, cakes, shortbreads and scones rather than pipe smoke. The Tea room has a fireplace that we stoke up for the winter, and in the summer we seat customers in our patio and shady Tea Garden.
Menus
The Dunbar Tea Shop menus are based upon traditional British and European fare. We offer daily specials and a soup du jour as well as a variety of cakes and pies. Whereas our main menu only changes once per year, our dessert selection and our specials change frequently. We attempt to meet the speacial needs of our patrons as well as to provide the freshest foods available and appropriate to the current season. We are in the business of proving quality food at an affordable price in a hospitable environment. All of our dishes and desserts are made fresh on the premises.
