Welcome to the Dundalk Grammar School, Dundalk, Ireland. The School is foremost a secondary School, taking pupils from about the age of twelve until nineteen; but it has its own excellent primary or junior School working from the same premises taking pupils from four and providing a supportive background until their entry into the secondary School.
Since 1739 the Dundalk Grammar School has been closely associated with the Incorporated Society for Promoting Protestant Schools in Ireland.
The Dundalk Grammar School is under Protestant management and is mindful to see that the prevailing ethos has its roots in that tradition.
Over the last two decades the number of pupils at secondary level at Dundalk Grammar School, has increased to approximately five hundred, of whom roughly a quarter are boarders. We are happy to remain a moderately sized and truly inter-denominational School. The small class size helps to keep a friendly family atmosphere.
