Welcome to The Dwelling House, a beautiful Grade II listed Georgian merchant's house located in the heart of the historic Cornish port of Fowey in the United Kingdom. Visitors to the Bed & Breakfast can relax in the period atmosphere, whilst enjoying warm hospitality and delicious home-cooked breakfasts prepared on the Rayburn.
Parts of The Dwelling House date from the 16th century when it was made up of two smaller and humbler houses facing onto a cobbled passage running down the right hand side of the building to the harbour in Fowey.
In the 18th century the two houses were joined together, the graceful Georgian staircase and facade were added, and The Dwelling House was turned to face Fore Street as it does today. From the late 19th century until the 1980s, The Dwelling House was the premises of Graham & Graham, local solicitors, who are still based in Fowey to this day.
At The Dwelling House we offer bed & breakfast accommodation in two spacious double rooms both beautifully furnished in a period style. Both rooms have en-suite facilities with a choice of a shower in one and a roll-top bath in the other.
