Dyrvedalen Guesthouse lies 7 km from the centre of Voss towards Bergen, on the sunny side of the lake Vangsvatnet in Norway. The distance from the main road E16 is 300m. The country courtyard is situated in an active agricultural district with crop land around it. And you will find a traditional Vossa-loft , an old blacksmiths mill and an old barn in addition to the main house with the two holiday homes/flats; Martinstova and Alfredlemmen. The two flats is equipped with upto 13 and 11 sleeping accommodations respectively. In the basement you will find a fire place for brewing of traditional beer from Voss. It is a log house built in 1917 and restored in 1995 and during the spring 2002.
Dyrvedalen Guesthouse can be the starting point for many activities; Trips to the Sognefjord and the Hardangerfjord, the round trip "Norway in a nutshell" or you can ride a bike along the navvy round from Haugastøl to Voss, or you can take bike trip in Voss, Norway. You can go rafting in the many rivers, fishing for char or trout in the Vangsvatnet or other fishing lakes around Voss, take a stroll or hunt for venison in the mountains, paraglide, visit Bergen by car, bus or train. The valley of Dyrvedalen has many roads with limited traffic. These roads are accessible by car, by foot or by bike. Dyrvedalen offers a wonderland of many small norwegian farms and natural habitat for wildlife like red deer, fox, hare, stoat, and squirrels to name but a few. Approaching the bottom of Dyrvedalen you will see old dairy farms where cattle and sheep graze upon the juicy mountain grass.
