The East Anglia Transport Museum, Lowestoft, United Kingdom, is situated at Carlton Colville just outside the seaside town of Lowestoft in Suffolk. This is a working Museum, run entirely by volunteers and the only place in Britain where visitors can not only see, but also travel on all three principal forms of public transport from the earlier part of the 20th Century. Buses, trams, trolleybuses, cars, vans, lorries, steamrollers, and a wide range of other light commercial vehicles are all on display and form only a small part of this large collection.
In its work as an educational charity, the East Anglia Transport Museum opens its gates to a large number of schools each summer, both from inside and outside the local area. Group admission fees are available to schools, with teachers being offered free admission.
All new developments are designed with full disabled access in mind, two such display buildings being easily accessible for wheelchairs. In addition, the East Anglia Transport Museum have the facility to offer disabled visitors a tram ride on a wheelchair accessible tram (accessed by means of a ramp).
