Welcome to Ecoworld Aquarium in Picton, Marlborough, New Zealand. At Ecoworld you can explore the hidden world of the Marlborough Sounds with hundreds of fish and invertebrates. Ancient tuatara, bright geckos and slinky skinks can be found within our reptile display and if you are really quiet you may even discover the Giant Weta ("god of the ugly things") sleeping in their burrows.
Meet the animals during feed time and learn more about them with informative presentations tailored from fun-based discovery for primary aged children, to more scientific marine biology for senior students and adults.
You could also catch a movie at our boutique cinema, grab a gift or indulge in a latte from our in-house cafe.
There are lots of incredible adventures for kids at Ecoworld. Come discover the amazing fish feeding
frenzy, the astonishing size of the giant squid, or the beautiful dancing seahorses.
If you are super quiet you might even encounter the ancient Tuatara or the sleepy Giant Weta.
very day at Ecoworld there are two feed times - 11am and 2pm. Each "feed time" you will be guided through Ecoworld with an informative talk about the animals, you can ask questions and get up close and personal with some of our amazing animals.
