Built in 1914, nestled on the rugged coastline of Oregon, the Edwin K defines the tradition of fine accommodations. The Edwin K Bed and Breakfast is located in beautiful Old Town Florence, Oregon, and has six spacious rooms. Also available in addition to the B&B facilities are two vacation rentals, the Apartment and the Edwin K Cottage.
This turn of the century waterfront home is located across the street from the Siuslaw River and the Oregon National Sand Dunes. It is a pleasure to see the artistry of the woodcrafters who restored the Edwin K to its original beauty and glory. The original house was built by Edwin Kyle's father, William Kyle, who was one of the founders of Florence, Oregon.
The Edwin K has a pleasing blend of antiques and fine furnishings. A five course breakfast is served at 9:00 a.m. by your hosts, Marv and Laurie VandeStreek, in the formal dining room on exquisite china, fine linens, and crystal. A continental breakfast may be served for those who need to leave early - make sure you talk to Marv the night before! Sherry, tea, and cookies are served in the late afternoon.
