Emerson Point Preserve in Palmetto, Florida, USA is a 365 acre preserve with incredible plant communities and wildlife as well as prehistoric and historic sites like Florida's Native American Temple Mound and surrounding Midden complex and the Portavant Temple Mound. Located at the tip of Snead Island, there are multi use trails and boardwalks aligned to natural habitat and cultural resources, and they have a canoe and kayak launch which allows access to the tidal canals and Terra Ceia Bay. Emerson Point Preserve has a unique history, and there are picnic shelters, including a large ten table picnic shelter which is available for rental, come Hiking and explore the nature trails, there's also managed fishing and an observation tower, and so much more.
