Empire Skate Building in Montreux, Vevey, Switzerland | Skating

The Association of Snowboard, Skateboard and Inline of Riviera (ASSIR) wishes to develop and to promote the practice of the sports of slips and balance in general, to offer to the practise sports represented by the ASSIR of the infrastructures corresponding to their desires, to support the access to the sponsors and the competitions for the young people, to make safe the practice of the sports of balance and to support a use of the public sites equitable. It ran out five years between the creation date of the ASSIR, in September 1995, and the opening of the skatepark, at the end of 2000. In February 2000, the commune of Montreux allocated a permit building for the skatepark, and the BCV made a contract of lease for a surface of 1200m2 in old Held joineries in Montreux, station CFF, just above Ned, Music Club of Montreux. Since, the Empire Skate Building became the appointment of all the skaters of the area.
