The magnificent Federation House which is a heritage home commands a prime site on Cape Wanbrow, with panoramic views overlooking the Harbour, Ocean and Town, and is centred within close/walking distance to downtown Oamaru , New Zealand, and the Penguin Colony. Built and occupied in 1915-20 as a gentleman's residence and family home.

This extra large character home has been diligently refurbished by the owner to provide modern Homestay facilities, ensuring privacy with en suite bathrooms and quality King/Twin beds, TV, microwave, jug, tea/coffee, table and chairs. Guests to Federation House receive Southern Hospitality and experience an historic era of magnificent building. We endeavour to cater for individuals requirements. Breakfast offers both continental and cooked with the house speciality a garden fresh vegetable omelette. Dinner is by prior arrangement.
