Welcome to Fern Cottage in Ambleside accommodation, close to Lake .  Your hosts, Sally and Tom, offer you four star Bed and Breakfast . Located in an attractive terrace,  Fern Cottage is just a minute's walk from the shores of Lake Windermere and Ambleside Pier in the United Kingdom.

Fern Cottage is the only bed & breakfast at  Waterhead and is near all the lake shore amenities including cruises, boat hire, cafés, pubs, restaurants, National Trust land and bus links.

Fern Cottage is decorated to a high standard and is beautifully kept and furnished. The breakfast menu is extensive, with a choice of Full English, Vegetarian or Continental. Porridge, scrambled/boiled eggs and kipper fillets are also available. Open all year. Children aged 5 and over are very welcome. Fern Cottage offers a relaxing and friendly atmosphere.

There are two double bedrooms and one twin/king size bedroom. Two of the bedrooms have en-suite facilities and one bedroom has a private bathroom.

Ambleside is a large village situated in the centre of the Lake District National Park and is an ideal base for walking and touring the lakes. The pier for the steamers which operate daily on Lake Windermere are very close to Fern Cottage and can be used for trips to Bowness on Windermere and to Lakeside, at the foot of the Lake. Surrounding Ambleside is some of England's most striking scenery and places of historical interest.
