Welcome to Fowey Gallants Sailing Club in Fowey, United Kingdom. Fowey Gallants Sailing Club is open to members and visiting yachtsmen and offers showers, bar and good food.
Racing takes place in Fowey on Wednesday and Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons, from mid April to the end of October. There is also a winter series for dinghies on Sunday mornings through November and December. There are two cruiser classes, Troy class, fast dinghies, slow dinghies, Fowey Rivers and Optimists. Notice of Race and entry forms are available from the Royal Fowey Yacht Club.
Races are organised jointly by Royal Fowey Yacht Club and Fowey Gallants Sailing Club who form the Port of Fowey Race Organising Committee (POFROC).
A variety of Sailing events take place every year.
The Galley at Fowey Gallants Sailing Club offers home cooking for hungry sailors. Breakfast is either full English or continental, served at weekends and during special events.
Typical lunchtime menus comprising of generously filled sandwiches and baguettes, as well as tasty home made soups (winter only), there will always be chips. Tea, coffee and cakes are served after Saturday afternoon Sailing.
In the evening pasta dishes, home-made pies and casseroles are the order of the day served with seasonal vegetables. Vegetarian dishes will be prepared, however, the cook will need a little notice. During the summer and when the weather allows we will be barbecuing in the evenings.
Please note the main club room and bar is not open during breakfast or afternoon tea.
During the winter months Fowey Gallants Sailing Club will be running theme evenings, please look out for details.
We can also cater for events such as anniversaries, birthdays and private parties with special menus available.
