The Victorian mansion at 142 Lake Avenue was build in 1904 for John Wagman, the founder of the Fort Miller Pulp and Paper Company, and later, the President of the Saratoga National Bank.
John Wagman engaged Newton Breeze, the architect responsible for many mansions in Saratoga Springs NY to design a magnificent, three-story Queen Anne brick house with a hipped roof and wonderful porches. Much of the interior detail remains, making the Fox 'n Hound Bed & Breakfast the most elegant of Saratoga inns.
Today, after an extensive and meticulous restoration, Fox 'n' Hound Bed & Breakfast offers five elegant guest rooms decorated with antiques and fine art, private bath and all the amenities fit for the discerning traveler searching for ambiance, comfort and attention to detail.
