Originally built as a "summer cottage" in 1912, the house now serves as a comfortable European-style bed & breakfast. Each guest room is different; some have multi-paned casement windows, french doors, lace curtains, antique beds (three from an old French hotel). Others have attached baths and open onto outside deck areas. All have pretty bed linens and garden views. A large stone fireplace and spacious common rooms add to the friendly atmosphere. A "continental plus" breakfast concentrating on fruits and grains (no egg or meat dishes) is served each morning. Situated in the village of Ephraim in Wisconsin's famous Door County, the house has a peaceful garden setting one hundred yards from the water. Enjoy Lake Michigan/Green Bay in summer and cross-country skiing in winter. Beautiful sunsets all year long.
