The French Room in Dallas, Texas, also features hand-blown crystal chandeliers of 17th century design. They were made in Murano, Italy, by the descendants of craftsmen who made the famous originals more than 300 years ago. The flooring is a verde monte marble, imported from the Orient. Period furnishings, silver, crystal, china and linens have been custom designed for the room. The companion French Room Bar is paneled in rich American walnut. The fireplace over mantle is made of English Chippendale mahogany, refinished in antique Chinese red. Many of the bar?s tables, cabinets, oil paintings and lamp bases are authentic pieces from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries.
