Welcome to the Gibsons Sailing School, Canada. Learn to Cruise and Charter with Canadian Yachting Association Certified Instructors. Our instructors offer 23 years of experience teaching safe Sailing to adults at sea in 20ft to 40ft cruising sailboats.

The Gibsons Sailing School is at Gibsons Marina, only 1 1/2 hours from downtown Vancouver including a scenic 40 minute cruise on BC Ferries from Horseshoe Bay, West Vancouver to Langdale on the lower Sunshine Coast. Gibsons Landing is just 4 kilometres from the Langdale ferry terminal along scenic Marine Drive (turn left as you leave the ferry docks).

Earn your Canadian Yachting Association (CYA) Certification with our afloat training: Introduction to Sailing, Basic Cruising Crew, Basic Cruising Skipper, Intermediate Cruising Crew and Intermediate Cruising Skipper.

Learn hands on Sailing and cruising skills with experienced certified instructors at sea in our well maintained vessels, while Sailing in the world's finest cruising waters of Howe Sound, the Strait of Georgia, the Gulf Islands, and along the Sunshine Coast.

While there are no pre-requisites for the Learn to Cruise Courses at Gibsons Sailing School, it would be an advantage to have taken the Canadian Power Squadron Basic Boating lecture series to obtain your ashore knowledge and Pleasure Craft Operator Card.
