Clinging to the side of one of the most scenic of lakeland dales, the reaches of Ullswater, are viewed spread below and along the valley. The nearby track that leads fell walkers to that magical and mighty summit Helvellyn, passes by the entrance to the Farm.

The Farm will be pleased to supply you with fresh milk and eggs.
At Gillside, Glenridding, there are Holiday homes, once these would have been known as static caravans, however the comfortable modern standard to which Gillside have equipped them, mean that holiday home is a more appropriate name. Truly a home from home! These 6 berth holiday homes are fully featured and each one is equipped with every comfort, including colour TV, shower and toilet facilities, an efficient gas cooker, refrigerator and adequate storage. The well designed rooms together with the quality finish of the soft furnishings will make your stay one to remember with pleasure.
At Gillside, for those visitors that trail their own touring caravans, an area is especially reserved with electrical hookups and individual pitch lighting. All of the site facilities are there for your access and convenience during your stay.
The Gillside Farm also has a bunk house, tastefully converted from a solidly built Lakeland stone and slate building, has two bunk rooms sleeping 7 and 13. There is a modern electric kitchen for you to easily manage your self catering arrangements. Plenty of parking is available for both car and minibus. This particular accommodation will best suit climbers and youth groups on Lakeland expeditions.
