Glenorchy Guest House is a beautiful Victorian semi-detached villa situated in the picturesque fishing village of Tarbert, Loch Fyne, Scotland in the United Kingdom.

Glenorchy Guest House enjoys being in one of the most beautiful locations in the village with a view over East Loch Tarbert, Loch Fyne and the Cowal peninsula. We have stunning views which can be enjoyed from our raised patio, guests are very welcome to use the barbecue, enjoy a coffee or a beer while watching the fishing fleet and pleasure crafts sail by.

The area around Tarbert is simply made for the tourist looking for the real Scotland. There is an abundance of sea and loch fishing, diving in Loch Fyne, wild life everywhere you turn, and local attractions that will keep you busy for weeks. There are also 5 excellent golf courses in the area, including the stunning Machrihanish Golf Course, within a 45 minute drive of the village.

Glenorchy is also in an ideal location to base yourself if you wish to do some travelling along the west coast of Argyll, the Islands, not forgetting the famous Islay whisky trail. The Caledonian McBrayne ferry services to Mull, Jura, Islay and Arran are a short drive away. Ideal for day trips in fact!

Glenorchy Guest House has everything that the resident could possibly require, whether you are a business traveler staying for one night or a family traveling the area on a well deserved holiday!

From 26th March 2006 the governments new no-smoking policy comes into force. There is no smoking in any of the public areas of the house, however, there are smoking designated bedrooms available for guests who wish to smoke.

For the avid angler out there why not go trout or salmon fishing? We have our own private boat, a Shetlander 498 cabin cruiser called Rip Tide, berthed locally on Loch Awe. If all that sounds too stressful then why not take time out and relax on the patio with a glass of wine, or try your hand at using the BBQ. Glenorchy is now Wi-Fi enabled allowing you to relax and enjoy the internet throughout the house.
