This traditionally built Lakeland-stone house sits in its own gardens, and is situated a short walk from both the centre of Windermere and Bowness at the heart of the English Lake District. The atmosphere is relaxed and tranquil. The house was built in 1888 as a Victorian gentleman's residence, on entry you will be immediately aware that Glenville still holds a lot of its original character.
All 6 bedrooms are of a comfortable size and there are 4 Superior rooms and 2 Deluxe rooms. The superior rooms all have king size beds and the deluxe rooms are even larger and have a bath and shower in the en-suite... one of which is on the ground floor overlooking the front garden and the other has a Super King sized bed.
All the rooms have en-suite facilities with luxury toiletries, towels and bathrobes provided. Widescreen flat TV with Freeview, CD clock/radio, trouser press, quality hairdryer and an enhanced welcome tray that is replenished daily.
For that special occasion or even just as a treat a combination of flowers, champagne, chocolates or even a Lakeland Hamper filled with local produce can be placed in your room prior to arrival or for the special day itself.
